So, Tanner informed me that our computer has caught the blue screen of death... It crashed! Lovely! So more pics will be posted when we get it fixed, but for now I'll just play catch up...
We got an Elmo potty and are going to start potty training her. Tanner went to bath her the other night and when she sat on Elmo, she peed! We were so excited!!! But now it hasn't happened since and she doesn't have much desire to sit on him. She did sit the other night, and then told me to sit on my potty. Nothing happened and she hasn't peed again. Our goal is to really get this going over the holiday break! Maybe some of the inlaws will have some advice to share in the adventures of potty training!
We are very ready for Christmas, with our stockings hung and our tree decorated. Audrey thought that the ornaments were to take off of the tree. We (she) broke about 6 of them before realizing that the ornaments were for looks and not to take apart. Actually, she jut doesn't like it when I have to get the vacuum cleaner out to clean up the mess.
Other than pulling the ornaments off the tree, Audrey has hit her terrible two's in full swing. She isn't privy to the word no, and wants to see what our reactions will be! Not fun on either end, but I do realize that all babies go through this, right? She is realizing that there is another baby though. She pulls up my shirt, rubs the belly, says "baby", and then pulls down the shirt and says "bye bye baby". It is going to be interesting when the baby doesn't go bye bye!
Tanner is doing well at work, his plate being full in this holiday season. He is doing jujitsu, don't know how to spell that, and is loving it. He grapples with other guys testing out the strategies get have been taught. He gets his exercise and a stress reliever all in one! Audrey has become a daddy's girl these days, other than the first 20 minutes in the morning. (She screams when he talks to her or tries to touch her.) She's fine 20 minutes later when she wants to help him get dressed and put on his shoes or cook breakfast.
Baby boy and I are doing well... And we are both growing at a rapid pace. He wakes me up every night with his drum practice on my belly. Audrey actually tried to play the drums on my belly, from which I had to put a quick stop. We are 27 1/2 weeks along, and are starting the 2 week appointments! Ah, that means only 5-6 more visits and then he's here! Yes, we have a few names that we like, but haven't decided yet! We will let you know what we decide!
Until next time, we love you and hope you have a Merry Christmas and a safe New Year's! We are headed to Natchitoches / Alexandria for a week, so pictures will follow!
