One of Houston's best sight seeing events is the Renaissance festival which goes on for about 6 weeks throughout October.
Audrey was quite confused by the man-less armor!
She was quite thrilled about sharing Daddy's chocolate covered strawberries!
Mommy was next in line to "share" Daddy's snack!

Audrey caught a carnation from the king of the parade.
We saw many shows including the juggling family.
Audrey wasn't too impressed with the jugglers...
There was a jousting competition for the queen's hand.
Audrey did like the mud pit as we were waiting for the show to begin.
It was exactly as the show described...
2 men jumping in mud with a comedy act.
It was actually pretty funny.
It took all day for her to finally give up and take her nap!
We were quite excited that cranky Audrey was now sleeping beauty!
We were a little over dressed, literally we had too many clothes on! Many of the cougars were taking this opportunity to advertise their enhancements, legs...whatever you could think of! We really got an eye full and laughed for majority of the day! It's definitely a festival to try out at least once. There are over 6 acres of festivities, elephant rides, old style amusement rides, tons of food, marriage ceremonies...it was neat!
So fun! The naked mud man is making me laugh! Audrey looks so grown up in these pictures. I miss her so much. Claudia does too!! Sending hugs!
ReplyDeleteThey took turns diving into the mud pit and getting a mouth full. It was a bet of which side of the crowd would win.At one point, when the crowd isn't supposed to cheer Audrey found her yelling voice and thought it was the best thing ever for everybody to hear her! I was of course in panic mode!
