We went to the Wings over Texas, which is the huge airshow here in Houston.
This was the Pearl Harbor reenactment with bombs going off, and the Japs chasing the Americans! It was really neat!
Audrey was stunting her little sunglasses for the occasion.
Our friend Luis gave us VIP tickets, so we had free food, a place to cool off, restrooms, rock star parking...which made this event much more enjoyable for both Audrey and us!
This is the plane that NASA flies the Satellite equipment in. According to Nic they call it the Guppy.
This is the plane that flies the shuttles from outer space back to Florida from California. He would fly out to California when the shuttle landed and do diagnostic tests on the shuttle before it was placed on top of this plane to go home. Nic has worked for United Space Alliance for the past 5 years, until this past August. Nic and Katie moved back to Colorado and he now works for Colorado University analyzing the Earth and Mars' atmosphere.
Look Daddy! An airplane! Audrey had more fun people watching than anything.
It did get loud as the jets were speeding by, so Daddy was helping to protect her ears. We tried to use the ear plugs, but she had a better idea for those...chewing on them! They are quite squishy!
Audrey enjoying a refreshing Capri Sun before we left to all take naps. We were wiped out!
