Mama C & Daddy D visit

Mama C & Daddy D came for a quick visit.

Hayes was so excited he was giving Mama C big kisses!

No snoozing while grandparents are here! It's time for spoiling.

So to the zoo we went to visit all the animals.

Of course Elmo came along, he always does in some fashion.

Her Daddy D was her partner for the trip.

We saw a Kookaburra, which she was rather scared of ...

but she loved the pink flamingos.

She created her own go cart. Anywhere she pointed Daddy D's head he would go. Early driving lessons!

She loves cows in books, but when we actually got to them, she was freaked out...a little bigger than she remembered in the books.

She did a little better in the petting zoo with the goats.

Okay, I never knew how huge porcupines were, until I saw this one. This is the American porcupine. that's a lot weirder than in the books.

We had a great day at the zoo.

Audrey really had fun chasing the otters back and forth as they swam in their tanks.

She kept telling us the story about the otters. Unfortunately, it was in Audrey language, so we couldn't make everything out. She knew what she was talking about though.

The giraffes were huge! They were awake and roaming around, unlike last time where they were in their stalls.

The best part of the trip though, was the carousel.  She gladly gave up her ticket for a chance to ride...

the zebra!

Ever since watching the zebras on the Discovery Channel with her Daddy, she has been obsessed with them. She always asks where the zebras went.

Audrey talked about the zebra for the rest of the time at the zoo. We tried to entertain her with the other animals, but her brain couldn't let go of the zebras. And it had orange on it - her favorite color!

Hayes meanwhile was content dreaming about alligators and milk.

Thank you Mama C and Daddy D! That was fun!

Mama C was Hayes' companion for the trip.

He let her know when it was Mama's turn though.

We saw the lions.

Audrey was amazed by how giant the elephants were.

We had to stop to see the monkeys on the way out. Her Daddy taught her how to do a monkey face, but she refused to do it for the camera. Another things that she gets from her Daddy!

Good Bye Zoo! Until next time...

When we got home, a nap was definitely in order. When she woke up though, it was time to play again.

Hayes came shopping with Mama C and me, while Audrey spent some time showing and telling Daddy D about the puppies.  She went and grabbed his book off the table, that he was reading earlier, and pulled him saying "puppies, outside!"

As she was playing at the gate, she would turn around and shake her booty on the gate. The puppies jumped up and nipped at it, while she ran away giggling.

Audrey taught Mama C how to paint!

Mama C kept trying to help her, but Audrey had her own way of doing it.
That completely sums up our little Audrey.

We had a great time, and look forward to our next time together in June with Mamaw!

I lovee!
(I love you in Audrey language)
